Android One Phones Is Here

Google has finally all set to change in low cost budget Android phones. Google has officially now launched trio Android One phones into the Indian market. The company has launched Spice Dream UNO Mi-498, Micromax Canvas A1 and Karbonn Sparkle V. The phones are presently only available online and will be in stores for the next month.

Android One devices directly get updates from Google for two years and the phones comes with Android KitKat 4.4.4 out of the box and will get Android L update when it's available. And these phones will support seven Indian languages.

Micromax Canvas A1 - INR 6,499

Micromax Canvas A1 sports a 4.5-inch screen with FWVGA 854x840 resolution IPS display. The phone will be powered by a MediaTek SoC with a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and Mali 400 GPU coupled with 1GB RAM. The rear camera will be a 5MP shooter complete with an LED flash and videos can capture upto 1080p. The front facing camera is a 2MP one. It will come with 4GB internal memory and supports microSD card upto 32GB. The phone will be powered by a 1700mAh Li-ion battery. Canvas A1 supports dual-sim. And in terms of connectivity the device supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and GPS. This phone available in white and black options. It available exclusively on Amazon.in

Spice Dream UNO Mi-498 - INR 6,299

The Spice Dream UNO comes in similar specs, with the same 4.5-inch display with same 480x854 pixels resolution IPS display. It's powered by a quad-core MediaTek chipset with the CPU clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM. In terms of memory Spice Dream UNO has 4 GB internal memory which can be expanded upto 32 GB using microSD card. It runs on Android KitKat 4.4.4 and is upgardeable to Android L. It has a 5 mega-pixel rear and 2 mega-pixel front-facing camera. The deivce will be avilable in white anf and black back colours. It available exclusively on Flipkart.

Karbonn Sparkle V - INR 6,399

Completing triumirate, the Karbonn Sparkle V signs a similar tune in terms of specs, the Sparkle V sports 4.5 inch display with same resolution 480x854 resolution IPS display. The device powered with a same MediaTek chipset, and also includes 1GB of RAM. In terms camera it sports 5 mega-pixel rear and 2 mega-pixel font-facing camera. When it comes to connectivity, the devices cover it all from Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and GPS. The device has 4GB internal memory which is expandable to 32GB using microSD card. Sparkle V available in Mild Grey, Blue, Wild Red and Pearl White. It available exclusively on Snapdeal.

So all these devices have the same specs, so there is isn't anything exclusive about any of these devices as far as the hardware goes. Now it all depends on the build quality, and the design made by the companies. And very important thing after sale service.



Android One Phone Launched In India




Google finally launched first Android One running phones in India. Google aims to bring high quality Andoird smartphones at affordable price to as many people as possible.

The first three phones to be launched are the Sparkle V. Micromax Canvas A1, and Spice Dream UNO. The Dream UNO is the cheapest at INR 6,299, while the Sparkle V priced at INR 6,399 and the Micromax Canvas A1 priced at INR 6,499.

At this time all three phones are being sold through online retailers. The Micromax CAnvas A1 through Amazon, and the Karbon Sparkle V will be sold on Snapdeal, and the Spice Dream UNO through Flipkart.

Android One platform is specially designed for low cost budget phones under $100. Android One platform phones run on stock Andoird. So users will get pure Android experience and the best thing is that all Android One platform phones run on KitKat 4.4.4. And the phone will get OS updates directly from Google for two years. These phones also first in line to get Android L, and any future updates of OS.

In terms of specification, all three Andoird One phones come with 4.5 inch 854x480 resolution IPS display, 4GB storage space with card slot, MediaTek MT6582 Soc with 1.3 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU and Mali 400 MP2 GPU coupled with 1 GB RAM, 5 megapixel rear camera with 2 megapixel front camera, FM radio, dual SIM, and 1,700mAh battery. All these phones are based on Google's reference design, that are pretty much identical.



Google also announced that Airtel is offering a promotion to reduce data costs for those who buy Android One phones. With an Airtel connection, Android One users will get free over-the-air(OTA) updates, and 200MP per month worth of app downloads from Google Play for the first six months - all without counting towards their mobile data plan.

Another very good thing is that Android One users will be able to download and watch YouTube videos offline, something not yet available on any Android device. Andoird One user will also get a 1 year subscription of Google Play Newsstand.

Android One is a great initiative by Google to bring smartphones to the masses. But the competition is already getting hot with devices like Xiaomi Redmi 1S and Motorola Moto E.
